If I were to write this review a year ago it would have been a 4-5 star rating. I don't know what happened but lately their service has been lackluster. I only come back because the food is good but the last two times I have come here have been frustrating experiences with the staff not getting my order right. Once I ordered a small and they gave me a large but was nice enough to charge me for only the small price. That was super nice of them. Another time I ordered a large and they accidentally made a small for me. However, this time I had a coupon for a large pizza that would have been cheaper than the regular price for the small pizza, yet, they still insisted to charge me for the small pizza even though I originally wanted the large. Annoying to the point where I may think twice about coming back even though the food is good.

Locally owned establishment that cares about their clientele. Great food, and you can tell all the food is put together with care. I suggest the Sicilian pizza, and breadsticks. Their awesome!

Nice addition to Grand Blanc. Tried the BLT and Mediterranean Veggie pizzas and both were excellent. Service was pretty prompt and friendly, no complaints there. I will definitely be back to try out more of the menu.

Last night I decided to stray away from my norm, which happens to be another local pizza shop. This ended up being an excellent decision. I went with the spicy Sicilian and was not disappointed. Whatever they put in their ranch makes it nothing short of amazing. I actually only remembered to write this review because all I could think about while sitting here in my office is heading home at lunch and polishing off the remainder of the medium pizza I ordered. My other go to pizza place is walking distance from my house, and sweet basil is about a 10 mile drive. I would happily make the extra drive to eat some of their pizza again.

I am a frequent customer of sweet Basil and I have to say that I usually love the service and the products and that is why I am sad to say the last couple times that I ordered from them I was disappointed. I called in an order for a delivery but was told "I am sorry but we don't have a deliver driver today". That is the first time that I have ever heard that from any pizza place but I decided to order anyway since I liked the product. The second instance left me the most disappointed. I called in an order tonight and when I ordered and was told "I am sorry but we don't have a deliver driver today". Reluctantly I decided to order again and pick up. I ordered my usual salad and bread-sticks and decided to try a sub also. When I got home I realized that the product is not at all the quality that it used to be. The breads-ticks are my favorite part of the products that I usually order because they are usually homemade and fluffy. The breadsticks that I got today tasted like something that was frozen and heated up, the sub lacked flavor but the salad was good! I am writing this in hopes that they will change some things back to the way they used to be before they gained new ownership. I love the product and service usually but these last two times have shied me away from ordering from the company again.

Been to Sweet Basil several times, big fan of the Spicy Sicilan and the Sweet Basil pizzas $14.99 large. I also love thier bread sticks and get extra sauce to go along with the pizza because it is awesome.

We haven't been to Sweet Basil since the former owners sold the business, out of fear that the food would change for the worse. Today, that fear was a sad reality. The breadsticks aren't the fluffy, airy breadsticks they were. Now they're baked, flat pizza dough sprinkled with granulated garlic on top. No more homemade marinara sauce to dip them in either, it's more like canned pizza sauce. Just sad. It's seems that the pride in the food and presentation may left with the former owners. It's sad to see their hard work in establishing the good Sweet Basil name thrown out with these breadsticks I just bought.

Yummy pizza and pasta. The pizza are not oily at all. You do have to wait awhile if you just drop in but it is well worth it.
